Saturday, June 29 10:30 to noon. GSLA annual meeting.
Annual meeting.
Harwich Community Center, Oak St., Harwich Center
Registration and coffee 10:00 – 10:30
Meeting 10:30 – noon
Joe Powers, Town Administrator for Harwich, will be presenting on the upcoming sewer project for Queen Anne Road. Please come with your questions around the sewering timeline, cost and logistics for connecting to the sewer line, landscaping and engineering details and financing options (including no-interest and low-interest loans depending upon year-round versus seasonal property use).
To prepare for the meeting, we are circulating a very informative 11-minute video from WBUR and Scientific American that explains the major water quality issues on the Cape and the role of sewering vs other technologies for addressing the issues:

Please take 11 minutes to watch the video. The animated graphics help enormously to understand how and why the situation emerged as it did.
At the meeting, there will be an update on the health of our ponds, including information about plans to control invasive plants. Members of the GSLA will also vote on the election of new members to the Board of Directors.
